The UK Stewardship Code 2020 from the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) sets high standards for those investing money on behalf of UK savers and pensioners. The 287 signatories represent £50.1 trillion in assets under management.

Stewardship is the responsible allocation, management and oversight of capital to create long-term value for clients and beneficiaries, leading to sustainable benefits for the economy, the environment and society.

Since the code was first launched in 2010, much has changed, and environmental, particularly climate change and social factors and governance, have become material issues for investors.

In August 2025, following the submission of a comprehensive report detailing how we address the extensive standards of the code and rigorous review from the FRC, Church House was confirmed as a signatory for the fourth consecutive year.
