Church House expands team to service growing demand in the North of England and Scotland.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Marcus Brooks as a regional director, as of March 1st, to bolster the growth of our funds and investment management business in the north of England and Scotland.

Marcus joins Robert Hunter, Client Director, along with another senior appointment to be announced shortly.  They will together form a strong team representing Church House in the Borders region and Scotland. Marcus brings extensive industry experience gained from roles at SG Warburg, Kleinwort Benson Investment Management and Stewart Ivory. Latterly, he was a director and major shareholder at Cornelian Asset Managers, which was sold to Brooks Macdonald in 2020.  Having left Brooks Macdonald in 2024, Marcus joins us at a pivotal time to help develop our continued regional growth.

As Marcus comments:

“I am delighted to be joining Church House, one of the few remaining private and independent firms in the sector, to help develop its presence in this under-served region”.

Jeremy Wharton, CEO of Church House, added:

“We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming someone of the calibre of Marcus onto the team. Largely through the fixed income fund which I run, we have got to know many investment managers and clients in Scotland – and they us. With the addition of Rob Hunter in 2022, we have been delighted to welcome more and feel now the time is right to bolster our presence in an area of increasing importance to Church House”.
