Tenax secures top 5-Crown Rating for seventh time in succession

Respected fund research and ratings business FE Trustnet have recently published their latest fund Crown Ratings. Designed around the principles of simplicity, reliability and accuracy, these ratings are used by over 200,000 retail investors and advisers who visit the Trustnet website.

The Church House range of investment funds has achieved strong recognition in these updated ratings. Our award winning Tenax Absolute Return Strategies Fund  co-managed by FE Alpha Manager, Jeremy Wharton, retains the highest 5-Crown rating for the seventh time in succession in the IA Targeted Absolute Return sector. This multi-asset fund stands out in this complex sector as delivering to a clear and straightforward objective. The consistency of results and simplicity of the solution have made it extremely popular with portfolio managers seeking a defensive holding. Against the backdrop of significant outflows from a small number of funds in the sector, the value of the fund has grown by 69% in the 12-months to 31/7/19.

Our specialist Deep Value Investment Fund, managed by Jeroen Bos, has also retained a 5-Crown rating. Focusing on the approach known as 'value investing', the fund aims to deliver returns by investing in companies with business challenges but also a clear recovery potential.

In addition, our UK Managed Growth Fund was upgraded from a 3 to 4-Crown Rating. Designed to appeal to medium to long-term investors, the fund has a bias towards FTSE 350 companies. Managed by Church House CEO and joint CIO, James Mahon and Rory Campbell-Lamerton, the fund invests across a broad range of industries within a streamlined portfolio.

Finally, the Balanced Equity Income Fund, managed by Carol Hooper, jumped from a 1-Crown Rating to 3-Crowns. This fund has the objective of delivering long-term capital growth together with a rising income.

The Church House range of funds are available to financial advisers and wealth managers across a wide range of retail and institutional platforms. They are also used as the 'building blocks' of our own Private Client discretionary portfolios.

Important information

The value of investments and the income you get from them may fall as well as rise and there is no certainty that you will get back the amount of your original investment.  You should also be aware that past performance may not be a reliable guide to future performance.
