Our core service is the management of investment portfolios on a discretionary basis. This means that once we have agreed all the fundamentals of what you want – principally investment objective, risk level and income requirement – then you leave the rest to us.

As already mentioned in About Us, our core focus is on risk management and the provision of returns to meet our client’s needs and reasonable expectations.

This forms the basis of the trust that we aim to build with clients; it requires a close relationship and clear communication, particularly in the early stages, to ensure you are remain reassured and confident that we are doing what we said we would do.

Whether for private individuals, family groups, or their respective trusts, SIPPs or ISAs, our aim is to be as straightforward and clear as possible.

How we communicate with clients

First, you have a dedicated Client Director as a first point of contact in all matters, backed up by an assistant who will also know all about you and your circumstances. They are supported by a Client Services team who have excellent knowledge of all our clients and can respond to routine queries and requests. It is a matter of some pride that we have not succumbed to those irritating automated response systems that bedevil large organisations. We not only insist that you have a real human to answer your call, but also one that is friendly, well-informed and responsive to your needs.

Secondly, we send you a detailed portfolio valuation every six months, provided in a clear and logical format. At other times, we are always happy to provide ‘ad hoc’ portfolio summaries via email or telephone as clients wish. Additionally, we send you a Quarterly Review which aims to keep non-financial readers up to date with what has been going on in the markets and our core portfolio funds in an easy-to-read format.

Finally, in order to ensure that what we are doing remains on track with what you want and need, we aim to meet you at least once a year to review the portfolio. The way we invest means that tweaking things to suit your evolving financial circumstances or risk appetite is easily achieved and your Client Director is always on hand to chat through any concerns you may have.
